The knife itself is great BUT (Big BUT) the sheathe is horrible. It features a loop for a fero rod but does NOT include one. They dont even offer a rod as an accessory. The knife on display in the store HAS a rod! If that werent bad enough, REI shipped the knife in a HUGE box filled with paper, then charged me shipping a LARGE BOX. The Sharpfinger strikes me as useful for the following types of applications: Snack prep, Mess kit, Fishing, Small Game, Large Game (caping), Lawn Chores, Picnics, Gardening, Foraging, Whittling, Light Tinkering, etc. I have been collecting and carrying knives for 20 years. I am happy with this purchase and intend to buy more of these as gifts. #M-MPW; Wood Carving set, a packaged set of the # carving knife, and S hook knife.
