You can either install them with the sturdy sticky pads that are included which are holding very well but if those ever pull off, you can just turn around and put them back on using the enclosed screws. With this one that is not possible as it is BARELY strong enough to register on the locks let alone hold itself on the cabinet so it requires 2 hands to open every cabinet.

It is so finicky that you have to place it "just right" for it to unlock the cabinets now, way more of a pain than the original magnet. Would not recommend. You no need any tools for setup. The locks can manually be placed in the off position once your making dinner.
