I use it for everything lol. They also make a battery powered one. I think there are other brands that you could look at too.. Ridgid wont honor the warranty unless you buy it from Home depot or Homedepot. You're better off. Home Depot killed some local places that had excellent lumber and such. The HD is more geared toward building houses and redecorating.
All they sell is disappointment when it comes to materials. That's all true - they are pretty easy to make, the measurements for everything are out there - I think though, that by the time you made the kreg jig and the other parts that make it perfect you will have spent more on materials and time than it would have cost to make it.
Do you not value your time? I charge a dollar a minute to my customers so things have to make sense. For what I spent on my kreg and the value it has given me in saved time from the start - it was a deal. I'm in the process of building my shop tired of renting space in the city when I have a 2 car garage and as where I don't typically use pocket screws for things I find them indispensable for shop fixtures I don't want to spend a lot of time making.
A friend of mine had been coming over to drill the holes and assist in other ways when he complained about the jig not having "wings" - So, I made him this one. I like the idea of your drawers on the side instead of infront - I also dig on the clamp idea.
Overall - excellent work! Wow nice job on that one! Yeah I wanted the drawers on the side so I could hang it and they wont fall out :D. I added the lip on the front for clamping and the quick-stop-blocks so you can just repeat your pockets. Thanks for the comment!
Kreg pocket screws are the best way to make a face frame for any cabinet work Nice project! By SouthernGinger Visit my website for plans! More by the author:. Although optional, adding a round over always makes your project look nice!
Once I had the dado cut, I trimmed the T-track to size and added super glue to hold it in place. Who am I kidding, I still had to make modifications, a chisel comes in handy to make those small changes :D Also optional but I added drawers to either side.

I think its been so fun because I got to plan my workspace around what was going to work for me and something that I could grow into…. So what I came up with was a Modular Miter Station. The two carts are the same height so they can be combined to create one bigger workbench.
They both are also the perfect height to work as an out feed table for my table saw. And they both house tools and supplies within an arms reach making completing tasks super convenient. And then lastly Phase 4 - Dust Hood just wraps the whole station up and keeps it clean and makes the shop healthier to work in.
Before you head over to BuildSomething. It is where my miter saw will live and it will house all the other pieces. My last miter saw was on wheels and while that was cool, I hardly ever moved it.
And since this new miter station was going to be double the size of my old one I decided to leave The Foundation stationary. This was a very straight forward easy build and can be customized to your saw. Just be sure before changing the dimensions and starting to build that you check your saw in all its positions to make sure it will work… like its biggest miter or bevel cut etc.
And a very important step on this build is making sure that the middle section is installed exactly at the same depth as your miter saw table height.
Then once you know the distance I would make four spacer blocks at that exact height and use them when installing the middle section. If you garage is anything like mine I recommend adding feet levelers to the eight 8 legs. Keeping everything levels and square on the foundation is going to ensure your cuts on your new miter station are going to be square.
