Be cautious, saw arm is spring loaded. Loosen the screw on the blade bolt cover until the blade bolt cover can be raised. Gently raise the lower blade guard bracket, releasing the lower blade guard from the notch so that the lower blade guard and blade bolt cover can be rotated up and back to expose the blade boll.
