This is my second Woodriver plane, I bought this # 7 Jointer after purchasing their #5 Jack plane and was very impressed with it. The plane comes sealed in a plastic bag and coated with rust preventive. I removed it and cleaned off all the preventive and did not even do anything to the blade and was cutting nice shavings! Checked the bottom for /5. The WoodRiver No. 7 is an excellent jointer hand-plane. The design is based on the Stanley bedrock planes but with modern upgrades. Visit www.- to learn more.5/5(1). The No. 7 is known as a “jointer.” It features the same blade and width as the No. 6, but it is 22" long (41/4" longer) and weighs 91/2 lbs. (nearly 2 lbs. heavier), making it almost the same weight as a Stanley No. 8. The No. 7 is used for truing edges prior to glue-up Brand: WoodRiver.

The WR #7 jointer plane is suitable for truing edges before applying glue, and leveling wide surfaces like a tabletop.
