I have spent a few hours trying to fix it and get it to stay on the track, but haven't been successful. At this price, I would have expected these to last much longer than a year. These file cabinets are less than 1 year old and the one is already broken and now worthless.

The other one isn't used very often, so I'm guessing that's why it hasn't come off the track yet. I reached out to customer service to see if there was anything they could do, because again, I feel at this price, it should last longer than a year.

They told me nothing they can do but they could get me in touch with the manufacturer. No thank you, I don't want to waste anymore time trying to fix this myself. Hard lesson learned, but I won't be purchasing from here again.

Well I thought my search was finally over. The Bisley brand name was not firmly attached to the cabinet. The depth of the bottom file drawer was almost 4inches less then my current inexpensive file cabinet 3.

The locking mechanism is very flimsy. I can pull on the drawers while locked and they appear to come open 4. These are in my home office and get very light usage - in fact I have been out of town for the last 5 months! For the price, even on sale, the quality is very poor. When I purchased them, I was a little worried because they are so light weight. But I trusted The Container Store to carry only high quality items, so purchased them anyway. One year later, I have to buy new ones. There are other fun and fabulous colors to choose from so you can match any decor or mood.

There is one designated large file drawer, but the two smaller drawers seem bottomless and are wide enough to fill with organizers. They are perfect to store papers, art supplies, electronic gear, Lego and toys -almost anything you can imagine. I use one large 3-drawer locking Bisley file cabinet to corral all my jewelry. Older and more valuable things are locked in the two lower, drawers and my every-day costume jewelry lives in the top drawer. Knocked off one star because the drawers sometimes stick, or get mis-aligned. That is fixable but the cabinets especially don't like being moved on their sides.

Both come in great colors. Needed 3 drawers on a couple of units and 2 drawers on others. The premium allows for full access to files unlike this model which does not open fully extended. However, the premium didn't have a 3 drawer option. The worst part is that you can't mix and match because the height is different and the cabinets are used to support the desktops on one end.

I am surprised that a premium retailer like Container Store does not insist on matching heights or at the least offer a solution for this issue.
