Here is quick and easy DIY project - my pegboard.  Made from 18mm plywood and 25mm pegs/dowels. The paint I use was some chalk paint easy to use and you don't need to prime the wood. The dowels can be configured in an almost endless number of ways, hooks can be added for hanging, and shelving can be used for larger things. Pegboards are great for small spaces and in places with lots of wall space, but not a lot of storage space. Here are 12 examples of pegboards being used in all kinds of settings performing the same task: maximizing storage and minimizing clutter.  Peg-it-all by Kreisdesign. 7. Take the wood doweling you have for the pegs and measure out equal segments, marking each one along the length of cylindrical wood. Doweling at that small diameter should not be too long or else it could snap under excess weight. Cut each piece no longer than 3 inches. Wider tools may require a slightly longer peg, but cut those pieces separately.  With the doweling marked off in segments, cut the pieces with either a miter saw set at 90° or a handsaw. Step 4: Sand Down Pegs. With the sandpaper, smooth out the cut edges of the dowel pegs, making sure there are no splinters or split pieces of wood hanging off of the ends. Step 5: Position the Dowel Pegs. With the pegs cut and sanded down to smooth their edges, begin positioning them on the pegboard to support the hanging tools.

I heard a great tip at the quilt guild meeting the psgs day: if you dowel pegs board program the peg a little longer than the dowel pegs board program spool you can put the bobbin with the same colour thread on top of the spool on the same peg.

What I love most besides the utter frugality progarm it is how it holds different sized spools! So handy! My mother just commented on how I need a better system for my threads…now I can have one. Should be cute!! Great idea. And the tutorial is so clear and informative. I am going to make one of these. I almost bought one of those overpriced ones at JoAnns the other day but knew there would be a better solution out there. Make the peg a little longer pege keep bobbins matched up the their thread color!
