Upper management agenda. I sat in a lot of meetings with the upper management over the years.
Corporate would coach the supervisors and managers on how to avoid recordable incidents. There is a us against them with the union the corporate HR would remind us all the union is a presence not a partner. As far as working in a salary position you where expendable. The new management they have over the Dillard complex is a bunch of college kids with very little experience in wood products but they have a degree. The lack of knowledge and maturity shows. The best decision I have ever made is to move on before it got way out of hand.
Just not a good place. Too many to list. Really strict about safety to the point of not wanting to work there. Roseburg Forest Products was a good job with amazing benefits and a rate of pay you can live on. I liked RFP a lot but they have no tolerance for marijuana that I use as a medication for my Diabetes and I got fired for something that is legal and a medication. Pay and benefits. Really strict. All great if you keep your head down and shut up. Was lied to repeatedly by my manager, but since I didn't get her promises in writing, she denied ever having made them.
She forbade me to speak to her manager for any reason. She allowed other team members flexibility with their location and scheduling, but I was required to be on site at all times she works entirely remotely.
After she called me a b1tch still not sure why, and she wouldn't answer , I confronted her and she denied it. I spoke to HR and their solution was for me to read some self help books. Apparently supervisors are allowed to be derogatory to their employees with no repercussions.
If you're willing to play by their twisted rules and not make waves, the pay and benefits are decent. However, due to changes in their overhead and culture, I don't see that lasting long. I know I sound bitter, and it is hard not to after working at a place for over 6 years while watching other employees get the things I had asked for and been promised, such as part-time remote work.
When a company or its employees repeatedly deceive you, harrass you, or do not support you, it's not a good company. Good company to work for when I did. Pay and benefits were great. Benefits now. We want to help you find great companies. Help us be the best! Do these reviews help you learn more about working at Roseburg Forest Products?
Not what they claim to be. I worked in the payroll department this is probably the hardest, least paid and worst job at RFP. You work ALL the time and they don't care about you as a person let alone a so called "Team Member" it's all about who you know there not if you can actually do the job. You go to management about the areas that need improvement and they disregard. No one wants to work in payroll ever. So many people hired and left due to lack of communication and team work.
Fellow employees. Everything about "Their" core values lol. In monthly safety meetings, management directly emphasizes safety over production. However, on the floor, management 'indirectly' emphasizes production over safety. Family-wage pay. Overtime work is available.
Weekend shift work is incompatible with young family life. Terrible Company. This company is very unorganized.
