By isitgoodornot on 28 October I upset an annoyingly expensive bottle of whisky over a veneered table; although I licked it up as quickly as possible, it left really spectacular white marks over an extensive area, with a couple of patches of really concentrated white.

I found an ancient tin of wood restorer in a cupboard; probably good because it contains some now-banned solvent that usefully stripped off the wax, but after three minute buffing sessions I wasn't making progress on the worst areas. So - search Amazon! This little tin turned up very quickly, and I've just completely cleared the marks in a few minutes, following the instructions.

I think, unlike restorer, it contains some very very fine abrasive, which is necessary for getting through the stained wood. As it says in the instructions, it's left an area that's more shiny than the otherwise averagely-shiny table, but that doesn't matter and it would be possible to buff with extremely fine wire wool to make the table uniform again. But guess what: I won't bother! Great product - as others have said, it, er, does what it says on the tin. Thank you, other reviewers! I bought this fluid together with the Guardsman impregnated cloth to remove stains on a lacquered table upon which guests had stupidly placed hot coffee mugs leaving white rings which appeared to be underneath the surface treatment.

I didn't think for a minute these products would work but in a last ditch attempt I thought I would try them. I started with the impregnated cloth plus elbow grease which had minimal effect. The table was almost completely restored to its former glory. These products used in combination were nothing short of miraculous. Arrived in good time with no issues with delivery. I really had no expectations that this would work but with each use the burns are fading and fading nearly gone.

The burns were left marked from incense so they were very dark and stubborn. I am thrilled that this magical oil has worked. My oak furniture unit is expensive so im made up. Would totally recommend - however if it doesn't work initially keep at it as with my burns the trick was to rub it on in stages until it went completely.

I wanted a bottle of magic I could pour on a wipe off. Ladies and gents, this stuff is it. Be patient and work it in. I also left a film of it on the table to just seep its way back into the work.

Table saved. Amazing stuff. It really works! Worked like a dream. Took a bit of rubbing but came like new. Now wax polished it is indistinguishable from the rest of the surface I was so amazed I tried it on a mid-eighteenth century mahogany dining table.

That had a rather old watermark where a vase had stood; something I usually hide with a bowl or a tablecloth. Again, it worked. The table surface sold wood, not a veneer is now gleaming and the patch just a shade darker than the surrounding wood.

Again, I've wax polished the whole surface now. I cannot recommend this product highly enough. And no, they're not paying me. One very happy customer! One person found this helpful. I thought that my table was ruined when I found a big white patch where a plant pot had been standing.

I then bought "Luberon" and began my sustained daily effort to remove the patch. Finally, it has worked but it has taken time and effort. However, my nice table has been restored and , in the circumstances, the product is good value as long as you persist with it.

Brilliant product. I have an old wooden coffee table, someone put hot takeaway on it at a house party and the next day I seen the huge white heat mark and I was guttered.
