Crosscut Sled? Miter Gauge? How About Both! Every once in a while you run across a product that makes you wonder, "Why didn't I get this sooner?" In the Infinity shop, the Incra Miter Miter Sled definitely fits that description. The front rail is no longer perpendicular to the base and its also not square to the blade. I made the thing out of 2x4's and particle board which I know wasn't smart but its what I had at the time. It was very square and worked great until a few hot/cold temperature cycles in my shop which is not heated or cooled. Now its all wonky and basically ready for the scrap pile.  Am I giving the Incra too much credit by assuming it could be my workhorse for crosscutting? Would it be okay in the cold/hot shop or would I have to bring it and put it to bed every night? Is there something else that does the same thing for less money?.
