As it was a small screw it could have easily got lost. On my first test the bit bound up in the right guide hole. After reaming it out a bit it seemed to be better.

Next I find the small set screw inadequate to hold collar on bit under normal tightening. Having to use much more pressure to tighten it enough to not slip positioning the allen wrench became loose and wadeled out the hole for it.

The collar set screw system should have had at least two set screws and or a notch location to better secure the setting. As I a lot of wood working projects and understand normal tool quality needs I am here to let you know this is substandard in quality control and there is better out there available at a better price.

I would highly recommend you do not buy. Last point, they received my unit on Monday, giving a return ok, and it is Thursday and no refund yet. Slow customer service equals poor customer service. I took the leap on buying this one.

It was the set screw for the collar. The tiny, itty bitty screw. Had to fish that thing out. It should've been inside the collar on the bit. Perhaps these pieces could be bagged up and put inside the inner box that holds your directions and your screw samples. I put this jig through a bunch of work this weekend. The bit fit was a little snug and 'new' but I'm sure that once I break it in a little more the bit will glide nicely in the jig holes.

The auto adjust feature of this is great. The fact that it also adjusts the collar to the correct depth and takes out the guesswork is also a really great bonus. After about 10 pocket holes, I found myself having to re-tighten the set screw. Again and again. I did appreciate that the allen wrench and the driver had their own special homes on the auto-jig.

After using it I find the leaver that draws the wood in tight before locking it does not tighten the wood enough to stop it from moving when drilling. A lever would make a much better method of bringing the piece in tight to lock it in. Also, the metal block with the 2 holes for drilling, binds the drill bit in every time you use it, don't know why unless it's just heat from drilling.

I'm going to open this hole up by a couple of thousands to see if this is the problem.
