I would do two coats of urethane for a more durable finish. What type of urethane would you recommend over a fiberglass door with gel stain finish? The Helmsman spar will work well. I would stick with an oil base product for its ease of application but waterborne urethanes also will work, make sure what is used is recommended for exterior use.
