My overall review is that I really like this sign making kit! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to make wood signs. I was able to make my first sign in about an hour. The second sign I made was done in about 20 minutes. This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. Learn how your comment data is processed. One Comment. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Facebook Twitter.

The first thing I needed to do was attach my router bit and the guide bushing to my router. I used a router bit that I picked up from Rockler.
The plate has an indentation that allows the guide to fit in just perfect. If you have a router plate with this, I believe you can purchase universal plates that might work. The kit comes with all the letters, numbers and symbols that you would expect as well as spacers. When I laid the letters for my sign I had to use the letter O 4x. I had to partially tape up and route my sign.
This really was easy as I just kept the alignment set with the other letters that were already taped down. Since the same template is used for both, you're guaranteed a perfect fit. Three new tool accessories from Magswitch are easy to attach and hold securely.
Each Magswitch features a switchable magnet that clings to any ferrous metal surface. Since it uses a scrap of your actual material for setup, the fit is spot-on, every time. Just rout the first shoulder with the jig in the ''closed'' position, then rout the second shoulder with the jig in the ''open'' position. The result is a tailor-cut dado that fits like no other. Once the jig is set, the stops make it easy to return to the ''open'' position so you can machine as many dados as you like for that thickness.
Not only do you get easy operation and a perfect fit, you also get an integral dust port that lets you hoover up the mess before it ever hits the floor.
Our easy-to-use patterns will take you through the trammel routing process for making your own Longworth Bowl Chuck. In this Rockler demo video you'll see how the Rockler's Small Parts Taper Jig lets you cut precise tapers on small parts, lending lightness to blocky legs on chairs, sofas and occasional tables.
It's also great for whipping out a handful of shims or opposing wedges for workholding applications. Its compact form factor is easy to store, easy to carry and easy to operate, especially on smaller machinery. The miter bar can be located in three spots to fit a wide range of saws, and features nylon set screws to remove the slop.
Our comfortable Easy-to-Grip handle makes for comfortable, smooth-sliding operation, while two specially-designed compact hold-down clamps ensure your work won't slip, and allow cutting of narrow parts.
A round up of some obvious and not so obvious techniques for cutting a circle in a woodworking shop. So why do you need a crosscut sled? There are four good reasons why a crosscut sled can improve your safety and accuracy at the table saw. Chris Marshall will demonstrate all four in this video.
