I like the fit and finish and it will replace my Nova Midi chuck. This is a great piece of machinery and I expect it to last forever. The arbor of the Wen lathe protrudes into the chuck cavity which prevents the chuck from closing all the way. This also prevents the worm from properly seating which is the bigger issue.

This appears to be fixable by adding a 1" ID washer or 2 between the lathe and the chuck. I think Nova should have tested this better and included the washer or spacer in the box. I realize they can't test all lathes but Wen is pretty popular and they do advertise this as a universal chuck.
