The teeth are M42 HSS, which is the same material that is used on the pallet cutting blades. You need a different blade for green wood than you do for dry wood. I think the 4 tpi has slightly better manors as it is not quite as aggressive as the 3 tpi, but I will be going back to the Highland Woodturners blades when the Lennox has run its life.

Lower guides are also easily adjusted for blade support, but one knob is almost impossible to reach without tilting the table.

The bolt that holds the table in place is in the way of the lower door opening. So every time I want to open that door I have to remove the handle and push the bolt up out of the way with my finger. I had to go fairly slow through the maple, but it was steady and smooth and produced a fine consistent thickness. I did stall the blade a time or two when cutting 13" wet oak logs for turning, but so long as a kept the cut open a bit to prevent pinching it kept going just fine.

This job also tripped a circuit two times, although never when I was mid-cut. Overall design. Its just very functional and well made.

The vacuum port is where it is supposed to be. The motor turns without hesitation, even when resawing kingwood!!!

I bought the tool specifically to do that job, and boy did it handle everything I threw at it. There are surely bigger, badder, nicer bandsaws out there- but for my shop, it fits perfectly.

All in all, I couldn't be happier with the first major upgrade my shop has gotten in 15 years. I only have had two minor issues- I don't like the original fence setup, which is purely preference; and easily solved with an aftermarket fence. And the light: Laguna wants way too much for what you get. There are literally thousands of better and less expensive but not poor quality lighting options out there.

I installed a few LED sets, a strip set under the top housing, and 3 10W Cree lamps in adjustable magnetic bases.

The saw has an easily accessible way to power them all, though, so this wasn't even really a problem. The Laguna blades are also over priced, although their resaw blade is pretty good- but the resaw king is better, and costs less.

I just received my Laguna bandsaw in the past week, so I haven't had much time to use it. What little I have used it I have liked it. It has been highly and positively reviewed by many. I will address getting it out of the packaging and assembling it. First I have little experience with bandsaws, but a lot of working and shop tool experience. I found the Owners' Manual to be lacking a lot. It is not very detailed or clear. The best I have seen is the SawStop table saw manual, which is fantastic.

If that is an "A" the Laguna manual is a "C-". However, I found on the Internet not indicated in the manual a very good video produced by Laguna on how to unpack, assembly, adjust, use, and maintain the bandsaw. I also purchased the Work light and the mobility base, which are common accessories with the bandsaw.

The work light was missing the small package of parts needed to install the light. With a 14 amp motor there is plenty of electrical headroom to run this saw on my 20 amp circuits. Resaw simplicity. As high as my expectations were for this saw, it has exceeded what I had hoped for on the resaw front. The cut quality was astounding. I measured. I was impressed with the performance as well, as the motor indicated no sign of strain through a fairly aggressive feed rate.

But the dust collection results that I experienced during my tests were quite good. During one resaw test cut I forgot to turn on my dust collector before starting the cut and I immediately figured it out after cutting into the plank, as a cloud of dust appeared directly in front of my face.

That gave me a good indication that the dust collection as designed is actually accomplishing its intended task pretty well. Quick-release blade tension lever.
