If you look closely on the photo you will see that I must readjust the height of the router bit to get rid of this disgracious…. I roughly cut the top shelves of the hutches.

To stay on the safe side for the router table, I rip them wider than required. I align the V tip with the joint between the uprights and the face frame. The bearing riding against the uprights will assure uniformity.

To prevent any tipping on the…. To proceed gluing the face frames, I raise the casings on these shopmade I-beams. I spread a moderate amount of glue and insert the biscuits. As shown, I proceed with one hutch at a time. The glue sets…. I install the face frames on the upper hutches to mark for the biscuits. To do so, I use a block of wood to align the lower ends. At each inches….

The final sanding is made by hand, particularly the rounded edges, that I sand with grit sandpaper. You should feel the smoothness of the edges. This is very nice wear simulation. Finally, the face frames are completely done.

I install this shopmade support on my workbench to raise the face frames to be cut. I use the jigsaw with a coarse blade to cut the curves on the lower part of the face frames. The blade stays away from the line. The router will complete the cut.

All the face frame pieces being cut, I temporarely stabilize them with a clamp. Now I clamp the pattern guide I made earlier and I draw all the decorative curves on the lower rail.

Here are the carefully located biscuit marks for the lower rail. Hese are the…. After drawing the center line, I trace on a piece of hardboard each half from the paper pattern I made earlier.

Here is the result. Note that an optical illusion from the camera shows the bottom of the lines curved towards the inside. I am ready to rip the stiles for the two face frames. The outfeed table behind the tablesaw is essential here.

The other ends…. The back panels being cut in width and the beads being machined, the next step is cutting them to length. Because of the size of these panels, my shopmade panel cutter is the best jig to use at the tablesaw. I start by squaring one end. Note how well this….
