furniture-pulls-4-inch-wallpaper Hello again What a soothing color furniture pulls 4 inch wallpaper the bedroom. Thank-you for sharing all of your knowledge. I love to share the products I use and enjoy! Damage-Free You may really want to change the look of a certain piece of furniture but may not want to paint it for a variety of reasons. YEF offers mentors, scholarships, awards and learning materials for students and young adults.

Spray adhesives work amazing, but I agree, they are smelly! Your ModPodge dresser sounds amazing! Thank you for sharing! I used actual burlap to pretty up a headboard for a bed not grasscloth paper. I was going to a rustic country look, and it turned out rather well.

I wore down the burlap a little to make it softer by soaking it, then washing it in hot water with extra fabric softener. That sounds amazing… and I like the tip of washing the burlap in hot water with extra fabric softener to soften it up!

Beautiful piece!! What did you secure it with? Hi Marianne! I could have phrased that a little better. This is a great project and your instructions are great. Hi Johanna! Wow, you just proved how adding wallpaper and changing out the hardware can completely transfer a piece of furniture! Very high end looking, Denise. Pinned and sharing. Thanks so much Marie! And I really appreciate the share. Pinned your adorable pink and gold desk too.

Thanks Christy! It was a fun makeover. I think the texture may be the perfect scratching post…lol. I love the French Linen headboard and the sweet little nightstand. They look fabulous together. Thank you for always sharing how to do things! Thank you for having me. I love what you did to your nightstand! The pulls work perfectly with the grasscloth.. Another thing is your use of grey on your headboard.

As much I think grey is going out of favor the more I think not! What a soothing color in the bedroom. Nice job on both! Congratulations and thank you for listing your sources. I believe we should just go with what we like. Everything makes comeback anyway. Amazing makeover!!! I love how you used wallpaper to give the night table a whole new vibe. I MUST try this technique out for myself. You make everything sound so do-able with your easy to follow instructions.

Thank-you for sharing all of your knowledge. I think the key is finding the right wallpaper one that you love for the right piece. My Mom was ahead of her time. She did it all, sewing, painting, refinishing furniture, gardening, etc. And she loved to use wallpaper like you did with this piece. There was a chiffarobe with curvy legs and beautiful lines that she applied a gorgeous floral wallpaper in the panels and antiqued gold wood appliques to trim it. I would love to have that piece now!

I really respected her. She could make any old piece look good. Did I mention she also had a job? Phew, makes me tired just to think about all she did. There was only my sister and I in our family, but I was raised in a thrifty home too. Both my parents were creative hard workers too. Wrapping doors and drawers are much like wrapping a present. However, the corners are where it gets really tricky. After Furniture Pulls 35 Inches Off much experimentation, I found a method that produces those neat, clean corners each and every time!

Bring the bottom edge up, folding the excess flap in 90 degrees onto the next edge below left. Then, slice down the paper on the corner, just until the blade meets the door below right. This slice will allow you to neatly fold in each flap as tight as possible, creating a clean and covered corner. Once the corners are folded, you should be left with a single straight edge that can then be pulled up and over the drawer-door edge for a clean, smooth finish.

It can take some practice and patience to get the corners covered just right, so you may want to consider practicing on a book or box until you get it. Unless you are working with a pretty simple and straight stock item from IKEA, you are likely to encounter unique edges, angles and other decorative elements on your drawers and doors.

Almost anything can be worked around with patience! For example, although this credenza featured pretty clean lines, each of the drawers and doors has this unique bevel on one side to make for easier grabbing. With some patience, the same corner folding technique I outlined above worked just great! Additionally, the two middle doors, although plain rectangles, had grooves along the bottom that allows for sliding.

If I papered right over this grove, the doors would no longer fit into the grooves nor work properly. The paper looks clean from the front, and the doors work great. You may have smooth sailing with perfectly clean, square doors and drawers. Use a little out-of-the-box thinking and some clever cutting-and-wrapping to cover your doors and drawers in style!

This makeover was everything I needed it to be right now: quick, easy, budget-friendly…and honestly…it just looks so good! The cheetah pattern is fun and whimsical for this play space, and the black and white motif works SO much better with everything else in this room. Friends, I have two projects left in here and then am ready to show you the whole thing all together! And since our downstairs is currently in shambles from our recent flood, my attention is laser-focused on this room right now!

The end is in sight! See you then! Absolutely love this idea! I found a perfect tall chest of drawers in a consignment shop that was a furniture showroom model. It is unfinished and the wood is beautiful. Since it is her room I want her ideas put in place. This will be perfect! Now to find a pattern to match her color scheme. As always you inspire me to try something different.

Love your blog! I loved this idea as soon as I saw it! It was tricky as I wanted to cover the whole thing — front, top, sides, inside the cubbies, etc. I am not perfectionist, which helped.

Now that will be much easier compared to what I did with the cubbies! Megan, You have some really great info on your site. Have you tried using the liquid starch method with wallpaper on furniture?

Just curious to see if that would work rather than buying peel and stick wall paper, which as you know, tends to run more expensive. Otherwise, you may want to figure out a way to seal the raw edges to keep them from pulling away. Hope that helps! Thank you for this post! I used these instructions to update two damaged ikea dressers that my puppy had destroyed.

Sadly the wallpaper I ordered and fell in love with turned out NOT to be stuck-on but I bought glue and made it work. They turned out really well! Hi Alissa! Sounds like a great project! So glad these instructions helped though! Contact Us Send.
