Creating those curved shapes with any stock removal method which is the technical name for grinding and sanding away material would be very difficult, especially just using reclaimed and repurposing saw blades.

So no, it wouldn't be really easy to do without forging and blacksmithing. It is a great idea though, and I will think about it! Very impressive set of carving knives, and great display box as well! Only small critique that I have is the paper background in the box. It looks great and adds a lot to the style. My only concern with it would be it's durability over the lifespan of the box. I could see it tearing from putting a knife in and taking it out.

Only thing I could think of to replace it would either be a patterned piece of cloth like a brocade though would add to the cost , or maybe a piece of decorative metal screen like what you can buy at Lowes or Home Depot though the concern there would be possible scratching of the handles.
