She achieved excellent academic results, was a member of several instrumental and choral ensembles, was a skilled debater, and she gave wholeheartedly to the sporting program. Ailish was especially committed to community service, raising funds for charity in a sustained way.

She was the local Young Australian of the Year in for her service to others, and the school is very proud of her selflessness. Sophie is a young woman of excellent academic calibre who studied Chemistry and Extension 2 Mathematics. However, it is in Music that Sophie really made her mark.

Sophie was also a member of various choral ensembles at school and received her AMusA on violin. We thank Sophie for her contributions to KWS. Jade designed and created her skirt and top over the course of three school terms. The top was embellished with hand-made felt and embroidery and the skirt was black silk machine embroidered with flames. The skirt lining was created by marbling silk panels embellished with organza applique images of the media footage from the bushfire disaster. Under the guidance of Mr Simon Lun and Junior Cert Woodwork Projects 2021 Canada Mr David de Bruyn, 16 students completed the Industrial Technology course this year and were guided through the process of planning and producing their major projects over a 6-month period.

This year, an astounding 13 of the 16 projects were nominated. Encore is a presentation of outstanding performances and compositions by students from the HSC Music examinations. The showcase is held annually at the Sydney Opera House and is highly competitive.
