sign-into-nighthawk-router-70 Absolutely no idea why not but something on here is blocking the Sign Into Nighthawk Router Yarn router. In any event I did get into the router with the Gateway laptop, changed my time zone, changed the channel to 11 it's a dual band router and configured it like it was using sign into nighthawk router 7.0 I made before Ihto reset it a few days ago. They will also provide the documentation for the instructions on how to install the Firmware patch. I wouldn't trust anything like that. Also, have you tried scanning with Malwarebytes for any possible malwares that could be trapping your access to the router's properties?

Haven't turned that on in almost 2 months and got Kaspersky updates, Java update, and one Windows update. Evidently there's something going on with the Toshiba laptop that's stopping me from logging into the router. Only thing I still cannot do is log into the router with it. That poster was advised to completely remove Kaspersky and reinstall it there is also a removal tool Kaspersky puts out and I have. I haven't done that with the Toshiba laptop yet because I really need to clean off this system and if I can get into the router with other systems I'm ok with that for now. I just have no idea what's blocking the Toshiba and yet none of my other systems What I thought was odd from 2 days ago was that I could get into the router using my iPhone As of last night I could get into the router with my iPhone and the Gateway; today I added my Gateway desktop Media system and I'm sure my Mom's system will also be able to get in but that one needs a wicked updating first.

I may sell that system anyway given she passed away last July and I really have no use for another desktop. Not ready to sell anything yet tho. So, to sum up: using a different laptop and a different desktop one with no Kaspersky and one with Kaspersky I was able to get into the router. I can get into it with my iPhone and right now my Toshiba laptop using the same Kaspersky because I bought a 3-year subscription for 5 computers is the one I cannot get into the router with.

The ordeal with that is not all that clear but there are possibilities. The possibilities that I can come with that you can try until we hit the head of the nail. One of the possibilities is, to check the driver version date of your network card by getting into the Control Panel, Device Manager and then uncollapse 'Network'. Then right-click on the network card and select 'Properties'. Assuming you were trying to log into the router wirelessly.

If the drivers is old, try to find the updated version of it and download it, then install it. Might be better to uninstall the one that is there now before you install the newer version. Then try to access the router's properties. If still no go, Kaspersky can be a boon if it is causing the problem. Uninstall it and try logging in again.

Also, have you tried scanning with Malwarebytes for any possible malwares that could be trapping your access to the router's properties? It is funny that it was already updated ahead of what I thought might be the problem.

What is strange is that you mentioned the version you have that ends with "67". I have looked at the list of updated versions for it and there is not one there that ends with "67". Very odd! That version is probably the one with the bugs. However, there is one that ends with "68". Since you mentioned that the link I gave you was dated back in Feburary, there is now a new updated version of the Firmware which ends with "80". Newer than the current version you have there. I noticed that and it seems that they wanted to downgrade the version they had on theirs.

This is the Netgear Genie. A software app that you can get into the router's properties that sits right on your desktop. If you go midway down and you can see the images of what that software app looks like. Re the wireless NIC. I tried to update the drivers on that and was told by Windows I had the latest version. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the wireless NIC along with the wired controller that is always disabled given I use the system wirelessly.

I did this about 2 days into this mess and Windows reinstalled the drivers for both and made no difference. I was going to go to the vendor's website for newer drivers but don't like doing that - I have enough trouble when I go get nVidia drivers for my cards. Re the login stuff. I tried About 18 months ago I bought a NAS for my network - tired of backing up on individual externals and figured it would be a good thing to do. That has backup software with it too but after trying only once to get it to work with the network I gave up and now use it just as yet another external USB drive.

Rather that clean off the 5 others I have I keep buying new externals that I really could nuke at this point. I'm finding stuff from on some of these externals! One is even an Iomega external………! I doubt they have options lower than I gave them. Big company - well known - great products - and they couldn't just send me a link or tell me what was going on when I contacted their tech support. Last NetGear router for me and I've tried just about all the big-named ones already. I want to put cameras in this house and don't need nonsense with a router.

Thanks again, Powers, oh, and as far as Genie I tried that and took it off. It has a lot of stuff in it that I don't want to use so I didn't install it. I've got the files from when I bought the router. Whatever is going on is specific to the Toshiba and while the Gateway laptop and media system both are running the exact Kaspersky Total Security Suite something else must be on the Toshiba that's causing this nonsense.

Have you checked into any of the installed software apps that might cause that issue? Usually Toshiba has its own OEM configuration software tool or other software apps that brings you to their website. Any such 'software apps' could cause such interference, unless if you have any viruses or malwares that can cause that problem.

Adwares can sometimes do that. There is a great anti-adware software that you can run to see if there are any. Not sure if you already have Malwarebytes anti-malware software or not. Turn on suggestions. Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I obviously am not a techie. Thank you. That has nothing to do with logging into the Nighthawk app. That is just one of the many logins that Netgear has. The login you may need is the account is for Anywhere Access.

Probably called Remote Access in your manual. If you haven't set up Anywhere Access, it won't work. The login details for registering your device is yet another set of passwords and usernames. In any case, you should not need to use any account to set u your device. Just the wifi SSID and default password. I have no idea what you are doing there. What is this "site suggested by the internet"?

I wouldn't trust anything like that. It is probably too late now, you have been trying to fix things which may have changed important settings, but when this happens it helps to look at the whole network, not just the extender. That means restarting things in the right order. As this is a router, there is probably a modem sitting in front of it. You need to get the modem to forget its misspent past with the old router.

Among other things, that means rebooting the network. Power cuts usually take out both the modem and the router on a network. When the power comes back on, they may start up in the wrong order, with the router starting before the modem is ready.

That means that they get confused about which is in charge. It may help to reboot the whole network in the right order. Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:.
