Best used to cut curves, a band saw can be guided on thick lumber to crosscut short pieces, create cabriole legs, or Laguna 14 Inch Bandsaw Filter rip lumber. So the top guide needs to be repositioned if ever moved vertically. Because of shipping and import costs, they are priced a little higher in for example Europe than the US, making the slightly less attractive compared to the competition.
