I ave tried 3 kinds, Blum, Probrico, and another no-name. They all looked the same. Same size piston, same frames, same everything except that the Blum has a height adjustment in the back where it hooks into the back of the drawer.

Not that big a deal, imho. Other difference is the locking mechanism. Probrico and the no-name both had the same exact locking mechanism. Functions fine, no problems. Blum's was a step above, better build quality and has side to side adjustment so you can better adjust the drawer front and how it sits in your cabinets.

This is great. While the others are HALF the price, and work just fine, the Blum is quiet and glides smoothly and easily. Spend the extra and get the Blum, you can find deals on them and they are worth it. Product appears good quality, but, as you decipher their directions, you realize their design is targeted to require an additionally purchased jig that costs more than the product. Simply ridiculous. Working around that design problem is doable, but, ridiculous for consistency.

Buy these if you care to invest in the business by buying extra one use gadgets and install a lot of them, or, simply buy something more user friendly. First off, I have to say that if you are ordering this item, do yourself a favor and be sure to select Cabinetree as the seller, and here is why: When my Blum 21 Tandem H Kit arrived, I opened it up and found that one of the slides had a broken plastic clip.

In the package was included a typed and signed letter that includes contact info if you need any help with the item or have any issues. I Emailed Cabinetree on Saturday to let them know that, unfortunately, one of the plastic clips was broken on the right slide. Chris Cabinetree emailed me back very quickly that same Saturday to let me know they would send a replacement out right away.

Chris also took the time to answer a few other questions I had about the installation of the BLUM slide, and also explained how all of the adjustment features work on the slide. True to his word, Chris followed up on Monday to provide a tracking for the replacement slide and it arrived quickly. To me, it's not about receiving a broken item -- it happens from time to time, but I was blown away with the quick, friendly, informative replies and customer service from Cabinetree.

Their support for the product really really won me over and convinced me to purchase any future items I need from Cabinetree. I previously installed an inferior slide product that I bought at one of the big box home improvement stores. It never worked right, the drawer had to be pulled upward and outward with a jerk to open it, and then it never fully closed, and definitely did not close softly as intended. Now, with the new BLUM Tandem H drawer slides that Cabinetree sold me, the effort to open and close the drawer is minimal, with a very smooth and gliding, luxurious feel to it.

I was blown-away at the difference this made and will be ordering more of these drawer slides from Cabinetree for the remaining drawers throughout my house.

I will next be ordering their BLUM soft close cabinet hinges as well throughout the house. OK, so these are NOT the easiest tracks to install. They work smoothly and quietly and are pretty darn heavy duty. I use spacer blocks to make sure the tracks are level off the cab bottom and spacers to make sure they're parallel to the sides and that makes installation much easier.

Customers love 'em too. They can really tell they're higher end than the run-of-the-mill stock cabs and they like to show 'em off to friends -- an added plus for me since it's always good when your customers brag on ya to their friends.

I am not a carpenter by any means. I was told by the company that made my cabinets that I could not retrofit them with soft-close drawer slides. After doing a lot of research, I took a chance and bought this. It worked out great. I do not know how to work with wood or anything but a have some general mechanical skills around the house. I did have to do some very minor modifications to my drawer so this would fit.

It involved taking two small notches out of the backside of the drawer. It doesn't have to be extremely precise, so there is some room for error. I watched a couple different youtube videos to also assist with the installation. Overall, it went pretty smooth.

Grass Company was excellent on packaging and shipping. Also very responsive to questions. However, like two of the other purchasers, I found the spacers shorter than the original 1 inch 18 Blum Tandem Drawer Slides Mp3 ones that were installed when the drawer was new. I too had to improvise by using washers to increase their length so that the draw would fit.
