Very little setup required. Had to adjust table so it didn't bind on the disc, but that was easy - just adjusted the three bolts on the bottom.

Did some test sanding with hardwoods and it worked fine - no bog down. I highly recommend this machine if you're looking for a "portable" machine. Even with its portability, there was no vibration or movement on my bench even though it was not bolted down. I have owned this sander for over a year and used the heck out of it. Then I could change worn belt and keep new one tight. I love this little sander! I wish I would have got it sooner. I'm a wood worker and boat carpenter it does everything I throw at it. The design is great the disc doesn't interfere when you use the belt like other ones. Don't know what people are complaining about.

At first the belt did not move, the motor just whined for a few moments. I gave the belt a push and then it began operation. The motor is ridiculously underpowered, and franky terrible. This tool is a joke, only suitable for extremely small pieces of soft wood, if that. Definitely completely useless for any hardwoods. Worst tool I have ever purchased, I will be returning this asap.
